Spilanthes acmella - is an herbaceous plant belonging to the asteraceae family, growing mainly in the tropical regions of South Africa. It is commonly called hot grass, which is due to its flavorful properties. It is used as an exquisite spice all over the world. In cosmetics, Spilanthes acmella extract is used mainly for its ability to stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. As a result, it strengthens the structure of connective tissue, makes the skin firmer and more elastic.
